@503bartley I love this idea
🩷 -
@503bartley remember Penelope sat quietly for the entire time working on her tapestry (and probably getting plenty frustrated) I can see Kermit in this role to a “T”

-
@503bartley I'd pay to watch that mast scene!

@503bartley I'd pay to watch that mast scene!
@megatronicthronbanks @503bartley And the Swedish cyclops. BORK BORK BORK BORK!
-
@503bartley I hope Beaker has a role
-
@503bartley The problem with this concept is that Odysseus is supposed to encounter problems he's *not* able to solve with simple prowess at arms.

@503bartley "They skipped the Novody thing" is nothing next to "Scylla got karate chopped apart"

@503bartley I feel like this issue has been settled for us https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jdh-sn1Ino8

@503bartley Hear me out: Gonzo and Camilla.
@peterdrake @503bartley
SECONDED -
@503bartley this is the best idea ever. Make it in IMAX.
-
@503bartley Actually the real name is Ulysse, not Odyseus. Odyseus is a journey...Know your Greek classics...

@Lefoyenlibre @503bartley Odysseus is the Greek name, Ulysses is the much later Latin name.

@Lefoyenlibre @503bartley That's even later then. And that word comes from the name of the poems, Odysseia, which themselves are named after the main character, Odysseus. In English the word is odyssey.

@503bartley Miss Piggy isn’t especially clever, though.
Cast her as Achilles and Kermit as Patroclus. Patroclus is about to be killed by Sweetums-Hector when Achilles comes charging in, karate chops him into space because she is fucking DONE with this whole stupid siege and this stupid city and this stupid war, steals a ship, and declares she’s going home.
Unfortunately, her navigator is Gonzo, so they get lost for months.

@503bartley They then follow the path of the Aeneid, with every character acting weirdly familiar, until at the end they run into Aeneas and his crew and realize they’ve been shadowing him this whole time and giving everyone else a strong sense of deja vu. Miss Piggy is pissed at playing second fiddle to some wandering jackass and stomps off, getting into an argument with an idiot on the road and knocks him over a cliff.
