@passenger really, when you think about it, the vast majority of misanthropy is misplaced with the common man. The majority of people are flawed people trying their best with the best information they have available.
The majority of the people doing/allowing bad things are less than 1% of the population. The same less than 1% that are the reason the majority of the 99% aren't better people by making sure good information never reaches them. Climate Change just so happens to be the quintessential example of this fact. -
Someone else has probably done this before but I can't remember having seen it and it's been on my mind.
