Somebody has leaked CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 in PHP before the patch is out.

Palo-Alto moved their patch dates for PHP2Shell up after that toot, patches available now. https://security.paloaltonetworks.com/CVE-2026-109618
@GossiTheDog I bet it sucks to be Palo's PHP-wrangler; but I'm morbidly curious what internal fork hell is implied by the gradually shifting ETAs. Last week they were all much closer together; over the weekend a few actually shipped ahead of schedule; while others have been pushed all the way to friday, including some of newer PAN-OS versions.

If you use Palo-Alto firewalls, make sure you upgrade for the PHP vulns.
In particular, if you have the mgmt interface facing the internet upgrade those now. The Palo-Alto firewall VMs have ASLR disabled which makes exploitation trivial.

They do? -
@GossiTheDog
They do?@wdormann the VM Series one do, unless they’ve changed it since last I checked

@GossiTheDog
This is from what I'd expect to be the VM series, as it was snagged from Azure in May of this year.

️@wdormann maybe they levelled up!

It's kind of hard to not get ASLR on modern Linux. Did they setkernel.randomize_va_space=0? Or use a not-modern FreeBSD? -

@hanno @GossiTheDog
Ironically, that indeed sounds like something a security product vendor would do.

Citrix finally released Netscaler patches for PHP2Shell. Netscaler notably has no ASLR so I’d recommend patching.

@GossiTheDog
Weird that using a FreeBSD version EOL'd over 5 years ago has consequences.

@wdormann @GossiTheDog They’re just a poor little company, how could they possibly afford the non-EOL software license?

Palo-Alto just sent out a customer alert about PHP2Shell:
“We are aware of heightened threat actor activity targeting internet exposed management interfaces of PAN-OS devices (NGFW and Panorama) and recently disclosed vulnerabilities. If you haven't already done so, we strongly advise you to immediately protect your devices by following management interface best practice”
