@welshpixie The fact that iced coffee is NOT coffee covered with icing is still annoying me for some reason... in Germany, Eiskaffee is coffee with ideally an entire ball or two of vanilla ice cream in it.

@welshpixie It's also a typical "old people" trick to use filter coffee that was served the day before - just take the cold coffee, fill it into big glasses, put vanilla ice cream into it, you got your Eiskaffee and it's just old filter coffee.

@welshpixie Reuse, reutilize... I believe its still old post-war mentality, really. Some also bake the old coffee into coffee cake.

@welshpixie Do you have a specific recipe for espresso iced coffee? Espresso Americano?
Or is it just a shot of espresso over crushed ice?

@SnyperWolf I pull a strong shot, transfer it to a bigger glass, add ice, top up with oat milk. I don't like sweet drinks so I don't add syrups or anything, and oat milk itself is a bit naturally sweet

Which oat milk do you use? Locally I have sweetened vanilla, unsweetened vanilla, "regular", and the "barista" version (which I think is a higher fat content)
I could imagine the sweetened vanilla would make a similar drink to the iced latte I make with half and half and vanilla syrup

@SnyperWolf the normal store brand from two local grocery shops, either CoOp or Lidl, both are just as nice as the more expensive branded ones
