The people claiming "ICE needs more training" are missing the point. Ross's 2 DECADES of training IS what led him to execute Good. ICE Training IS the problem. More money for more ICE training results in more trained killers.
The problem with fascists isn't that they're poorly trained, it's that they're fascists. You don't train fascists, you abolish them. Abolish ICE.
@QasimRashid in years gone by, good guys would shoot fascists. The main reason they would do is is because the fascists were shooting the Good.

A Brit who is a long time resident of Germany posted that "ICE is not the equivalent to the Gestapo, it is the equivalent to the SA".
The actions of the SA were sufficiently egregious, and they had become a political threat to German intelligentsia, that the Party patrons and the military pushed the leadership to clamp down.
In July 1933, the party security forces decapitated the leadership of the SA.@Robkay0809 @QasimRashid I jusy skim read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sturmabteilung yep 100%

@Vorsos @zbrown @QasimRashid your should check that with a doctor
@Disputatore @Vorsos @zbrown @QasimRashid The rule is simple: if you condemn ICE but in a different way, you'll be accused of defending ICE. This little game kinda became very popular here over the last few months.

@QasimRashid people forget that he was dragged by a car on a previous incident and spent months in recovery. As history demonstrates, he shouldn't have been put into active duty again as we wasn't capable of dealing with that type of situation.
@Disputatore @QasimRashid I see it in another way. If you suffer from some kind of PTSD you don’t step in front of car. So, this is trying to put the blame on the institution not on the person responsible.

@Eddieluca @Disputatore @QasimRashid Or both the institution AND the individual are reprehensible. The individual was obviously looking for an excuse to murder someone. And the institution put him in the right setting to do so.
-
@QasimRashid Deliberately standing in front of vehicles to provide justification for murdering the occupants has been going on since at least 2014.

@Jumpmed @Disputatore @QasimRashid Yes but the difference is that if you go against the institution then who is to blame and who will go to prison. The responsibility is watered down. Somebody gets fired maybe and that’s it. Even if the victim gets some money it will still be from the taxpayer so nobody is really punished.

Renee Good's killing is attracting accounts doing divisiveness.
The murder of Renee Good and the Epstein documents are hurting the fascist rulers of America.

@Jumpmed @Eddieluca @QasimRashid yes. There you go. Someone who knows something about logic and reasoning.

@Eddieluca @Disputatore @QasimRashid Oh I definitely agree with holding accountable every individual within the institution who intentionally contributed to these conditions. But the institution itself must be either dismantled completely or reformed to the point of being unrecognizable. People can only abuse their power and authority if you give them power and authority.
Maybe this will turn out to be a good way to send a bunch of white nationalists to prison. (One may still hope for justice) -

@QasimRashid Saying “ICE needs more training” in USA in 2026 is like saying “ Sturmabteilung needs more training” in Germany in 1932

I think he's an 18 year veteran of DHS but a recent transfer to ICE? Bastard's job history includes repeated horizontal movement through basically every low level government job where you carry a gun.
In a sane country he wouldn't be fired, he'd be prosecuted and convicted.

That previous "dragging" incident is one where he followed the same modus operandi as this one... He lunged at a car, already moving away from him, and attacked the driver.
In the process he broke the window of the moving car and stuck his arm through it. To grab the driver. Of the moving car.
That "dragging" was entirely by his choice and he was the aggressor throughout the encounter. His "dragging" injuries were minor cuts, from the window glass he broke in order to attack the driver.

@QasimRashid The sort of training some of us think that ICE needs is with regard to constitutional rights and not harassing people for exercising those right, plus training in how to deal with members of the public who might just be confused by a novel situation, or who might not understand some request due to being hearing impaired.

@lackthereof @QasimRashid just read an article saying that "Ross needed 20 stitches on his arm and 13 more on his hand", so that probably wasn't the months recovery I mentioned, but it was also not minor cuts. Regardless of the interaction being of his choice or not, he was dragged 300 feet by that car which could have resulted in him getting PTSD. Maybe he did, maybe he didn't. Maybe he was just itching to kill someone. From the images I saw, it was an unlawful killing.
-
@QasimRashid A good reason not to refer to a suspected killer as "Jonathan Ross" is that too many other people have that same name. It is much better to call him by his full name: Jonathan David Ross. Just like there is a JD Vance, there is a JD Ross. People know another killer by the name of Lee Harvey Oswald because using all three names avoids confusing him with innocent people who have different middle names.
@RonSupportsYou @QasimRashid You're not wrong, but Noem also asked for this so no.
-
@RonSupportsYou @QasimRashid You're not wrong, but Noem also asked for this so no.
@rupert You misunderstood. Kristi Noem asked for something very different. She insisted that no one say the name "Jonathan Ross". I say, yes say his name, but also include his middle name so that innocent people who have different middle names than Jonathan David Ross are not blamed for something bad that they did not do. In this case, apparently, murder someone.

@Disputatore @Vorsos @zbrown @QasimRashid You're welcome. As long as we don't forget who the main enemy is, I guess we should be able to overcome such absurdities.
