In order to protect such important tools of law enforcement i think the public should help painting the lenses with some protective paint. Could be done easily with a paintbrush attached to a long stick. @davidgerard it would be a shame if someone were to spam them with tons of nonsense tips on who done it .. that would make it harder to sift through and create distrust in the whole system, which might lead to them being more skeptical of real reports ..
