Is anyone on here familiar with manual knitting machines like the Toyota KS 901?
My friend bought a Toyota KS 901 and he's trying to learn to use it. He has it knitting, but he's having a problem that we don't know how to troubleshoot because we don't know how to describe the issue.
Here's a kind of terrible drawing. The machine makes the knit (blue here), but after every row, it leaves a strand of loose yarn hanging from the left side to the right side (red here).

I've always found this site good for old machines

That sounded like a cool site, so I went over there and was looking around
Found this hat, posted with the following comment:
