I hate what this vile company did to our land. They should be forced to pay for complete decontamination and restoration. 🤬🤬🤬

@druid no idea about Welsh folklore, but so many old Irish stories boil down to “you hurt this land and very bad things will happen to you”.

I wish we were as scared of personal repercussions these days.

@druid our beloved local authority were also happy to accept the large sums of money to make these chemicals disappear.

@pixmo Pretty much the same in Welsh folklore too, whos characters have strong links with their Irish cousins. Perhaps they can all band together and go on a rampage of revenge. I shall find a suitable ritual.

@MikeInTheGarden The same authority that now says "Oh, there's no pollution here, it's perfectly safe". I'd like to see them drink a few glasses of dump run-off water.

@druid I remember seing a map when I was a community officer, showing all the local pits and quarries that had been filled and sealed over (sometimes overnight) with all sorts of nasty and toxic items that needed disappearing once new regulations rendered them a liability. These included numerous items such as pens with toxic ink and many other items of no value.

It was in relation to a large cancer investigation being carried out not far from us. That time, it was a different company to blame.

@druid and yet the houses opposite us have been told that they can't grow fruit and veg in their gardens...somebody is telling porkies...nothing new there, then. 😓
