@pencilears @alice My high school, they replaced all the stalls in the main boys bathroom with little quarter size walls with no doors that came up approximately to your shoulders while sitting. I think it was supposed to stop kids from smoking in the bathroom or something, but in actuality, it just meant only kids with a lot of self confidence pooped. Everyone else used other bathrooms.
@JessTheUnstill @alice I'm pretty sure the stall doors being so low it feels like you're in a cat box, are like that because they used to have big problems with drugs and prostitution.
Which, unfortunately, is the kind of thing that spooks the tourists and the moms from Bellevue, and the market needs their money.

@JessTheUnstill@infosec.exchange @pencilears@mastodon.eternalaugust.com @alice@lgbtqia.space I did marching band in high school, so we did a lot of travelling around, and sleeping in various high school gyms. There were a few schools that just completely removed the doors from the stalls, again, presumably to discourage smoking.
But since we were there for a couple days at a time, avoiding pooping wasn't really a great option. So it became an exercise of trying to guess when nobody would be using the bathrooms (eating your lunch quick and going when everyone else was still eating was a decent strategy), then going to the stall at the very end and yelling if you heard anyone approaching.@PurpleStephyr @JessTheUnstill @alice my old highschool had two tiny uncovered courtyards in the hallways that nobody was allowed into that, I learned from the most senior staff member, were originally smoking areas.
So like, the 80's had an answer for this!

@benjamincox The person in the wheelchair just said "I'm gettin' too old for this shit" which always leads to shooting or exploding.
So, seems unavoidable.
@alice -
@alice Accurate depiction of how desperate you have to be to use those bathrooms.
The stall doors are so low I can see out of them while sitting on the toilet.

@alice That little guy in the wheelchair better hurry, you don't want to be anywhere near a baby being held that way and especially not underneath!
-
@alice I've never raised kids, but I believe that's the "oh shit, it's coming out, it's coming out everywhere!" hustle.

@theorangetheme I like the sense of urgency @alice

@alice The opposite of the plot of Willow. A Daikini couple finds a Nelwyn child and goes to give it to the first Nelwyn they can find. The one they meet is in a wheelchair--physically restricted, rather than whatever mental thing Madmartigan had going on.

@alice This is one of the least restful signs I have ever seen. So many variations of drama being potentially played out in only one scene.

@alice Wait, so the already awful stall doors you can look under are now... getting even more awful?
