Before I start a day of trying to get a bunch of writing done (...maybe) in between listening to #DDA2026 science talks, please enjoy my goats actually listening to me*
*This only happens under very specific circumstances, like they have happily eaten grass for a long time and it is part of their routine to come into the barn at that time. Otherwise they just ignore me calling them. They are goats.

Also please enjoy my Very Good Dog who yesterday fought a porcupine who came into the goat barn for inexplicable reasons and then had quills pulled out of his face and mouth, and then later had a string of thunderstorms (he is terrified of thunder). He stayed in the doorway of the barn, guarding the goats through the whole series of thunderstorms. He is such a good boy.
(The floofy white dog means well, but she mostly just cheers for the good dog and doesn't have many thoughts.)
