I wish there were a symbol we could put at the end of a toot about something inconsequential or irrelevant-in-the-big-scheme to indicate: I know world events are awful. I am not ignoring it or untouched by it. I am just right now reacting to the overwhelmingness of it all by tooting about something insignificant and harmless and maybe even nice.
This thought springs from the fact that I just hesitated to share this random call to dance as a Silent Sunday photo because it seemed too frivolous.
@CiaraNi Somehow, this is more relevant than fascist presidents attacking each other.

@CiaraNi I know the feeling, but when I posted photos of flowers and my cat today I got an overwhelmingly positive response.
I think we need everyone's Silent Sunday posts as a respite from the news. We know folks like you are aware of the awfulness, but we can read the awful news and still appreciate nice things, too — however trivial in the grand scheme of things.

@ondekvinde Ah hvor dejligt! Jeg er misundelig på den gode måde. Jeg har ingen danseplaner i dag, men det burde jeg måske lave om på - man kan jo også bare danse i køkkenet bare for at danse. Nyd morgendansen!

@CiaraNi I know how you feel. I also feel the, mm, hesitancy to post when it's something inconsequential in the big scheme of things. I do it anyway.
We are still every single one of us a person living our little lives, being excited about small things, and I absolutely think you and me and everybody else should share these things 🩷
In fact, I long for a community/instance where those things are the most dominant ones
, so please keep sharing things like that 
@svedigtype Nicely put. The hesitancy is there, right enough. And at the same time it is natural and nice to be 'excited about small things'. I really like that phrase, it captures something important and 'human-sized' in the midst of all the terrible news. I'll be borrowing that phrase, please and tak
