Woke up this morning to the motor and wheel on my electric cargo bike being stolen. I love living in #copenhagen but this is the third bike that has been destroyed by thieves. It's like the one type of crime that seems to be thriving in Denmark.
Thankfully covered by insurance, but if you have an electric bike having a good lock is no longer sufficient. You need two metal locks, one around the rear wheel and one around the frame connecting it to another metal post. The high quality lock around the frame is no longer sufficient.

@matdevdug I hate this and it has kept me from getting good quality bikes for years. I don't like to be constantly wary of having my bike stolen. I love being able to just leave my bike unlocked while walking in to a story or similar errands, not having to worry, but this is only possible with a beat-up bike like the one I have. Leaving expensive bikes outside in the night seems to be the risky part - esp. around roads where thieves can roll up with a van and just carry the bike in.
