Brin is not “worth” $266B.
Brin has accumulated assets worth $266B.
Brin is worth the same as every other human on the planet. We won’t get anywhere while we repeat that people are “worth” what is in their bank accounts, and “worthless” when they do not have accumulated wealth.
If anything, one could argue he is “worth” less than others who cooperate in society.
He might be more dangerous too, unchecked hoarding looks like sociopathy to me.

I mean, Brin, or any one of these people with $100 Billion in assets, could end world hunger for $40 Billion without ever seeing a change in their lives, and while still holding more money than their entire family could spend in generations. Literally have it be their legacy that they ended world hunger and not have it affect them in any negative way, but instead they fight a tax increase and buy elections.
I don’t have to be a psychiatrist to see there’s something seriously unwell there.

Yes they are almost all assuredly sociopaths.
Whether they started that way or became so is my only curiosity.

Power corrupts, billionaires are absolutely corrupt.
