RE: https://mastodon.online/@Pepijn/115484490456209004
Double update: at yesterday's work meeting I explained how maybe I had extrapolated a bit about the "louvre theft", "french royalists" and "right wing parties" and could've been more clear. My colleague 'apologized' for misunderstanding me (..).
So last night they went online.. This morning we talked ->
"Maybe you were joking a bit but there really does seem to be something to the crown jewel theft with these monarchists. It's interesting."
I'm both guilty & proud.🥲

Goodness, what's this apology thing. If we had to do this where I work for every joke we said we'd never get any work done.

@EvilCartyen It kinda jumped on me and made me realize some smart people have absolutely zero capacity for irony or sarcasm.
I think even though I now told him directly he still somewhat believes there's "something" to this story.

@Pepijn Well, that's astonishing. Would be hard to live and work in Denmark for him, I'd wager.

@EvilCartyen He's the guy that clicks on every fricking phishing link and actually asked our financial department to do a "speed transfer" as the ceo, with a broken phone, asked for it from abroad.

@Pepijn Ok, so he's a moron. Shame you have to deal with him, then...
