signal psa i guess?

sigh, so i had to totally remove signal from my iphone to free up space for a system update and i thought, "no problem, when you link a new device it'll restore all your messages"

this is true of signal desktop, but not so with signal on mobile!

i would recommend anyone do this who cares about what they have in signal:

1) open signal on your phone and go to settings
2) tap backups
3) view and save your recovery key somewhere safe
4) sign up for secure backups
