Why does 69° never appear on Apple’s Weather app.

Why does 69° never appear on Apple’s Weather app. It calculated temperatures in whole Celsius numbers first, then converted them to Fahrenheit for display.
That meant 20°C showed up as 68°F, while 21°C became 69.8°F and rounded to 70°F. So 69 never had a clean landing spot. Same deal for 65 and 71, but let’s be honest, nobody was launching investigations over those.@kibcol1049 still wrestling between Celsius & Fahrenheit. Otherwise, nautical time & metrics have become default.

@FaithinBones @Fasgadh @kibcol1049 The US "tried" to move to the metric system decades ago. But only a few things stuck. Instead of returning fully to the imperial system, we are stuck somewhere in the middle.
I was taught both and use both regularly but prefer the metric system.

@Fasgadh Fahrenheit is a centigrade scale for weather in temperate zones.

@lankohr @peteorrall @Fasgadh @kibcol1049 once we went through the Revolution, America pretty much ignored changes coming from Europe. That's why American English and British English evolved differently. Same with other advancements. We have odd idiosyncrasies here but we accept most of them
