Who are we? Apart from a dedicated podcast listener who upon request will participate in slightly crazy projects while having no idea about that thing they call the fediverse is..

@SusanOML read your about section. The big follow-up: do you follow knitting patterns in metric or is it still the odd number system for needles and lengths in inches that works for you? Happy knitting! Old only in hashtags

@Kristine I’m a scientist pretending to be an engineer in America. I have to code switch between the two all the time. I love the metric system for its internal consistency and ability to scale. Imperial Engineering Units are really useful for estimation and building things on the human scale. But if I had to pick one forever it’s metric.

@Kristine metric system for needle lengths always! Much better than an arbitrary “size” number.
Better for 3d printing and sewing too!

@EvilCartyen thanks! Yes, I was aware but I wanted to call out forkiverse to get an understanding about who they/we are that decided to take part. But yes, we of course want to be part of the Fediverse and if the Fediverse wants to participate, who I am to tell them no. That wouldn't be in the spirit of the Fediverse at all. Right?
