We had a similar thing, when pre-previous German Chancelor Angela Merkel was making a statement about "complete support" for a politician this meant they would step back within a week.

@ethanschoonover I see the pattern, but the metaverse was already irrelevant since Second Life stopped being trendy, whereas a significant chunk of the population actually does like and use AI these days.

Acquisition by Yahoo! used to be the unambiguous sign that some formerly promising company or technology would be dead within 9 months. Now a Zuckerberg endorsement spells death for entire technology sectors.
I wonder if we can get him interested in cryptocurrency?
