and it’s very cozily stable software which is appropriate, cause parallel is the kind of thing that deserves to be finished eventually

@ilmari @davidgerard moreutils, of sponge(1) fame? that moreutils? Wow I hardly even considered it would have other tools, which seems silly in retrospect. But really sponge is both indispensable and a scathing indictment of the whole concept of bash pipes.

@davidgerard I simply can't imagine a real human typing in that name and thinking it was fine to use. Absolute insanity.
I know an alternative to gnu parallel exists, but maybe making another would be a good exercise
