@tvaziri Maybe it's an exaggeration of the fact that 80's stuff wasn't as dark as things are today - in which case it's absolutely true. Those blue-filtered "day for night" shots from back then may look cheesy as hell today but you can see what's going on, even if you're not under complete blackout conditions.
Conversely, I rarely watch anything made after the 00's all summer because my apartment doesn't have curtains & I isn't dark enough for that stuff until near midnight...
