You know, Fedora would probably be a candidate; looks nice, comes recommended - but it's just a HUGE red flag that I have to install some kind of extension or whatever *to be able to minimize windows*!

What absolute fucking maniac decided to make basically a regular desktop enviroment & then omit this function so hard you have to mod the OS to get it back!?
Do I dare trust such a person with my daily computer experience...?

@jwcph the real red flag is how angry people get when you suggest that minimizing windows is a feature every OS should have. This comment thread was a wild read.

@benetherington Good Lord... the "you're holding it wrong" is strong in this community - ironic, considering how much most of these people hate Apple even more than Microsoft

@jwcph haha for real!

@benetherington BTW they're right that it isn't immediately obvious where things get minimized to - but that's because *everything* is hidden behind a click/hotkey, which is clearly a deliberate feature; as soon as you tap into that "everything" view, or multitasking or whatever, minimized windows are immediately visible.
One may like that or not, but it's pretty consistent behavior & in no way a reason not to have a minimize button.

@benetherington Oh, I found an easy way to enable it - also in a Reddit thread (I had to guess that they meant "paste this into a terminal window but it wasn't a difficult guess
) - but the red flag is still up....

Testing with an open mind though
