Are there repairable and long lasting bone conducting headsets?

i got two from shokz, but both degraded after a few years - first they offered recycling them, but they stopped doing that even. it would be nice to have one that could be used for longer

Huh, how do they degrade? Looking forward to that with mine…

I was interested in getting some, so checked out the website of Shokz. On the positive side they are very dedicated to openness—their slogan is “be open” —, but on the negative side they define openness narrowly as “not inside your ears”.
I was hoping to find information about sustainability and repairability, and for a second I got my hopes up. Oh well.
Hopefully we’ll see some less crap products in the future. I feel like the technology is promising.
