They#re not throwing around any actual money... it's a pyramid scheme.

Company A invests 100 million in company B
Company B invests 100 million in company C
Company C invests 100 million in company D
Company D invests 100 million in company A

Very little money is ever going to change hands, it's all announcements of investments they claim they plan to make.

This drives up market value, makes those at the top of those companies very rich... and it's all built on lies and marketing bullshit.

They buying up production of high bandwidth memory that hasn't been made, to go in AI-GPUs that haven't been made for data centres that haven't been built.

It's smoke and mirrors to cover up the fact that their snake oil is worthless.

Now if they focused on agentic AI instead of generative AI... they could have had a business model that would make them money.... just a tiny fraction of what these greedy ignorant wankers want. generative AI is worthless

Agentic AI is just generative AI generating and then executing API calls to do things with consequences. So, no thanks. I won't be giving an "agentic AI" my credit card.
