Anyone with open commissions who wants to do some #art for NetBSD?
-
@netbsd What kind of things do you need?
@jack Cute mascot work, mostly.
-
@netbsd Is this for a logo of sorts? If so, I can maybe connect you w/ the person who did the logo for Sentinel: https://codeberg.org/cr1901/sentinel/src/branch/main/doc/Transparent.png
@cr1901 We're looking for something a bit cuter.

We've got a budget for paying for some concept art and can later talk about working with you on some merch. DM us!
Naturally, we cannot accept contributions using generative AI.
@netbsd
digital artist! looks like you've already got a few takers but feel free to browse some of my work on here and see if it gives a tingle. either way, happy building!

My daughter did the backseat driving for Dad who did the Inkscaping, to create "Tommy the Toaster", a kawaii toaster (looks a bit similar to the Oster-brand one that NetBSD notoriously runs on).
I've got the SVG source if interested

@netbsd how to submit artwork? Format(s)? How cute? Painfully, adorably, barely? Animal or personal or anthropomorphic? So many options.

Tried an alternate version with a NetBSD-ish orange face rather than the "kinda NetBSD toaster red/pink" face
