My daughter did the backseat driving for Dad who did the Inkscaping, to create "Tommy the Toaster", a kawaii toaster (looks a bit similar to the Oster-brand one that NetBSD notoriously runs on).

@netbsd I had a little chuckle to myself when I read your post. I'm reasonably educated artist (painter), MA etc. but wondered what exactly you meant by concept art so I looked it up in chatgpt..........

@netbsd think bigger. NetBSD is mostly known for its portability. I very well remember the old black and white logo with a lot of different crts, keyboards and mice, on top a group of little devils holding the NetBSD-flag on a trident. You don't need one mascot, you need a little family of mascots. Not so many like pokemon, smurfs or minions, but at least five somethings, that resemble evolved little devils or so - holding together the flag.

@garfieldairlines I did not design the character, but I worked at Chillhop as a developer for 4 years, though, and also did some art for them.
