Indeed, the stairs behind these two fearsome gatekeepers are called Dragon Mountain Stairs, leading up to Dragon Mountain (Dragefjellet in Norwegian), and at the top lives… _lawyers_.
Today, Dragefjellet is where the Faculty of Law for the University is, in the old Dragefjellet School. The name sounds intimidating, but maybe less so when you learn that "dragon" and "kite" are the same word in Norwegian. The area was a popular kiting spot for due to the wind condition, and was (re)named for it.
