2¢ : I've seen some tut-tutting recently about the niche technical content of so many posts here. As someone who could not tell you anything about my computer past what color it is, I just want to say that I'm personally glad that others are keeping up and are technically astute. Even if I don't understand the jargon or issues at stake, I still applaud and take comfort in the granular expertise, as I do in all fields. I find it a pleasure to see. That's all.

The content of our feed is largely our own responsibility here, so it seems a little misguided to criticise what others post - follow other people, then
It's super simple...I use the 'hide boosts' option regularly, and occasionally I unfollow or mute someone.

@EvilCartyen I love this point of view. I need to get in to hide boosts more. All the tools are here for us, whatever place (again, thank you tech nerds!)

@Tarnport The one change I would want to have on the platform is to have boosts on a separate tab - so I can check them out occasionally, when in the mood.
As it is now, I basically auto-hide all boosts because I follow people to see what THEY say, not to drown in boosts.
