Its only possible, as i understand, if there is a picture.

I think its correct. But if users from pixelfed follows an account boosting a post without a picture it will be shown in the browser version of pixelfed and possible on other app than the shitty official one.

Maybe @Denvitadrogen knows a work around?

@dukop @jowek I haven't really had any experience with pixelfed, but I guess it would be possible to add the preview image for the link as an image in the post.
