    Maybe it’s just me, but I really like JOSM and its power user features, but actually prefer the iD presets. I especially like their terms and aliases, which make searching for the right preset easy, even if you don't already know the correct tag.

    I wanted to see how far I could get converting the iD presets to JOSM. Quite far, it turns out. I have been using the converted iD presets in JOSM for a little while now and really enjoy them.
