There goes Linux circling the toilet into slop vibe coding oblivion.
That leaves... nothing.
I guess we should probably go back to slide rules and paper at this point.
I guess one could download any distros of Linux now and just stick with that... forever? Cripes.

what did Torvalds say? fork it or walk away?that was the thin end of the wedge maybe.
i would be surprised if someone somewhere DOESN'T fork it, but i've no idea how hard that would be to do or maintain...pretty difficult i'd guess?
something will emerge i'm sure.

there's a lot of uncertainty right now for sure.
we're right in the middle of a storm with this stuff and nobody knows how it's all going to turn out.
on the few tech podcasts i listen to opinion seems to be divided and tentative. i actually appreciate that, it's at least realistic.
