Yes, #bahn indeed just leaves the fricking #Friesenbrücke in non-accessibility mode overnight (with, and I'm not kidding, up-to-date opening times on an obscure Instagram page).
No 14 km impromptu hike this week. I got my bike and more-so I had already made the choice to take the western route from Leer.

Growing up all trains were yellow. And we had two types. Today I really like how we have such diversity in train liveries

Huh. Surprising lack of Schengen violations here at the German - Dutch border. They should try that approach to busses and trains.
Also a surprising lack of a bike lane on the Dutch side of the border
