So @jon posted* about a suction cup holder for wineglasses and people are now commenting on all the beer and wine they drink while in the bath and shower.

@Pepijn
Nothing beats a good #ShowerBeer after a long bike ride on a hot day. Gose is best (electrolytes).
@jon

@Pepijn No. Also, WTF???

@jon

[Gæst]

@Pepijn @jon if I took more baths, I might, but I only have showers

[thias@mastodon.social]

@Pepijn @jon I remember drinking a beer in the bath on the boat going from Stockholm to Helsinki. Still one of my top travel memories.

[bashstkid@mastodon.online]

@Pepijn @jon Are you including hot tubs as baths?

[pepijn@mastodon.online]

@juliette Tough Luck.

You can do sauna wine?

[ednl@mastodon.social]

@tlariv @Pepijn @jon Yep, "shower beer" is a popular thing among sporty cyclists. I often did it.

[pseudomonas@mastodon.social]

@Pepijn @jon I've had a drink in the bath, sometimes; usually tea but I can't see a reason not to have booze. In the *shower* though? a) do people use a baby's sippy-cup or something to avoid dilution? b) how long are they even spending in the shower that it's worthwhile?

[webhat@infosec.exchange]

@Pepijn @jon I used to drink cold beer in the hot shower. I also used to wash my hair with room temperature beer

[nikcorg@mastodon.social]

@Pepijn @jon this has me very confused. Bath beer and wine I can grasp, but in the shower? Like, how do you not manage without a drink for 3-5 minutes?

[elmo@det.social]

@Pepijn @jon on my bike trips I regularly enjoy a beer under the shower on the camping site after a full day ride. Perfect recovery

[holedigger17665@mastodon.social]

@Pepijn @jon
Drinking anything but soapy water in shower is quite a challenge because of, you know, all that downpouring water.
I smoke often though. Even when taking a shower. For same reason, probably.
Feels good outside, feels good inside.
Very relaxing.

@Pepijn
In the morning: Coffee. Always

Evening: Sometimes a beer after cycling

Wine wouldn’t come to my mind ‍️

@Pepijn @jon I used to like to drink ice cold Cava when in the bath. Luxury. I no longer drink at all. I didn't have a drinking problem, I just became more aware of the links between alcohol and cancer.

[pepijn@mastodon.online]

@martijnk uhm.. this needs explanation. Where, why, how, who?

@jon

[martijnk@mastodon.green]

@Pepijn @jon BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh, wanted something more luxurious after spending a couple of nights in a yurt, just booked it on their website, just me and my travel companion at the time…
