So @jon posted* about a suction cup holder for wineglasses and people are now commenting on all the beer and wine they drink while in the bath and shower.

@Pepijn @jon on my bike trips I regularly enjoy a beer under the shower on the camping site after a full day ride. Perfect recovery

Drinking anything but soapy water in shower is quite a challenge because of, you know, all that downpouring water.
I smoke often though. Even when taking a shower. For same reason, probably.
Feels good outside, feels good inside.
Very relaxing.

@Pepijn @jon I used to like to drink ice cold Cava when in the bath. Luxury. I no longer drink at all. I didn't have a drinking problem, I just became more aware of the links between alcohol and cancer.

@martijnk uhm.. this needs explanation. Where, why, how, who?

@Pepijn @jon BrewDog DogHouse Edinburgh, wanted something more luxurious after spending a couple of nights in a yurt, just booked it on their website, just me and my travel companion at the time…

Nothing better than a Showerbeer! But go for Cans, Glas bottle are a bit risky

@Tak @jon @Pepijn we are big fans of the shower seltzer over here

@Pepijn @jon I moved in with my partner so now it feels a bit messy, but when I was still living in my two room apartment I did enjoy the occasional beer in the bathtub (never glass though, drinking naked is fine but nobody wants to step out of water containing invisible shards of glass).

Your question brought back a vivid memory of drinking a cold beer in a cool shower after a long hot hike. It may have been just the one time, and it was a canned beer (safer and works better) but it was absolutely perfect.

These days I do sometimes have a wine or mixed drink in the bath, but only a tiny amount. Heat makes you metabolize alcohol faster so if I do drink in the bath, it’s a smaller amount than a standard drink. (And I have tea more often).

I once was in a hot tub with friends and one who had been drinking passed out and fell face down. We immediately pulled him up and decided hot tub time was over. He had had maybe 2 drinks with dinner. Ever since, I am very cautious about drinking and bathing in hot water. If he was alone, our friend might have died.

@Pepijn I've had my coffee in the shower a few times. I stopped drinking coffee daily now though.
