When my kids were little, they hated getting sunscreen on them. They would wiggle and try to get away from us when we were trying to get it on them, making the whole situation was a bit of a drama for all involved.
That was untill we discovered the joys of "Smørbaby"!
Smørbaby translates to "Butter Baby". We would tell them it was time to put the butter on, and we'd put some sunscreen in our hands and then apply it kind of playfully-roughly whilst loudly saying "SMØRBABY! SMØRBABY! SMØRBABY! SMØRBABY!" over and over again.
For some reason they found this hilarious, and would come running with the sunscreen of a morning when it was time to get out the door.
Now they are 13 and 11 .... and once in a while, they will still come to me with the sunscreen, a little grin and say "Hey mum .... Smørbaby?" and get me to put their sunscreen on.
Give it a go. Butter the baby!
