@StingrayBadger The MSM hasn't bothered reporting it, but Sue Parfitt's arrest on Wednesday has been widely reported on social media, e.g. https://x.com/JustStop_Oil/status/2095911590818099676

I found lots of hits in this Google search: https://share.google/tT7tzkGcIvObwl0Xs

In London, the #MetropolitanPolice #MetPol have resumed their habit of arresting 84yo Rev Sue Parfitt. .This time they have also raided her home.

This is to keep people safe from opponents of genocide and climate change.

Ach, @dtq1952, I'm not so sure about the ineffective bit. They have arrested ~3,500 people in the last 14 months for supporting #PalestineAction. Most iof the arrestees are pensioners. That's very effective.

And they know how to do what they are paid to do. That's not too dim.

Of course it's not just or fair or ethical. But sadly, that's where logic takes some people.

@TCMuffin @2legged But these are good christian patriots, don’t you know?? Ready for the ‘Battle of Britain’. If those terms are not a clear and unequivocal threat I don’t know what is.
#Farage has condemned the mask and balaclava wearing - but he has not condemned any of their behaviour. Meanwhile nothing from #Burnham. No Cobra meeting, and precious few police deployed. And no arrests.
I’ll not hold my breath waiting on Cooper/Mahmoud to designate any of this as terrorist threat.

Doesn't the name "Battle of Britain" refer to the period of time when London was getting carpet-bombed by Nazi planes?

I searched on a number of engines, nada but the July arrest.

@ohmrun I excluded the July arrest by restricting the search to "last month".

"Last week" would have been better, but I fumbled. In this case, iknew that my fumble didn't matter.

You cannot wear a crash helmet. Balaclava when you go into a shop.. you can be asked to remove it or be excluded.

...should there be legislation that you cannot wear a face covering from public marches?

Nothing to stop you marching... Once you are identifiable...I doubt as many would turn up for fear of the consequences

Big men behind the keyboard and now big men as anonymous figures 'saving' the UK

Some of the dummies drove and parked cars... with Car Reg number ... identifying the owners .... so anonymous doesn't always ring true

What step on the facist ladder was "arresting the opposition, and naming them as tarrorists even though they are peaceful and have not caused any harm" again? Because I know it is one.

@HarriettMB @TCMuffin @2legged How DARE they use that name! The 1940 Battle of Brtain was a decisive defeat for Hitler that by giving the US of that era a base may have cost the Nazis the entire war!

The Spitfire and Hurricane pilots that went up to blow Hitler's bombers out of the sky did so knowing they probably would not make it back. Only one in 5 new pilots looking at their plane before tbeir first nission would still be alive in 1945.

Every single one of these airmen was flying against the exact same shit that Tommy Robinson, Nigel Farage, Netanyahu, and Trump stand for today! Some got burned alive fighting Hitler and now that scumbag Farage wants to claim the name of the battle?

I have studied WWII since childhood, my father fought on the Pacific Front, and I know exacrly what I am talking about on this subject. I find this attempt to claim the name "Battle of Britain" for the Nazis (who lost that one) extraordinarily offensive.

In addution to stealing the name of a battle against Nazis, they are also stealing a current anti-Nazi combat tactic by dressing up like a black bloc.

Oh and one more thing: none of the risks we take today fighting fash are any worse than what those pilots faced. They did it, we can do it.
