    @notjustbikes when researchers analysed the biofilm at Kungsträdgården tbana they found two entirely new types of black yeasts. There's so many mosses and stuff growing there too. (And I feel very stereotypical fediverse that THIS is what I am bringing to the conversation)

      Some of these stations are seriously impressive.

      @notjustbikes Some people are scared of travelling underground. How can we help them?

      "Turn a station into a realistic reproduction of the fires of hell?"

      "Genius! That will soothe nerves. Do it!"

          @silhelm @notjustbikes
          And they're everywhere!
          Must be several dozen of them here.

          The one art piece IMO missing* is a 3D model of all the platforms, tunnels, and paths of the Centralen station complex in the main hall of Centralen.
          *as in: please make one.

            @notjustbikes Great video! My wife and I explored the Stockholm metro last summer, and we had a great time.

            One thing that really helped us was that the CityMapper transit app includes a map that shows certain stations with a "selected art in the subway" symbol. We found it was much more helpful than any of the lists we found on the internet, particularly when we were out exploring during the day.

            The same map is available online at https://spartrafikkarta.se/

                @2legged lol. Well, as I mention in the video, this station is always photographed this way, but in real life it's actually very colourful. It's just this part by the escalator that looks demonic! 🙂

                    @gravitystorm ooh! That's a nice feature. I guess I should've used CityMapper when I was there. I usually do, but given that frequencies were so good and the metro was pretty self-explanatory, I just went based on the maps in the stations!

                          yeah, it has really changed how at least I use those trains.
                          Maybe because I work near that exit from Odenplan and live so I transfer from the ring-LRT near the other end of the joint section. i.e. I can take all the trains, so during rush hour it's like every 4 minutes. Better than the service on the metro branch where I grew up.
