"Immigration enforcement" is not the end goal here as Stephen Miller and Kristi Noem are happy to tell you. "Fighting crime" wasn't the point of militarizing cops all over the country. It was always going to come down to this.

As long as these people are in charge, they're going to continually ramp up the violence in pursuit of martial law and a fascist police state. In the short term, yes, it helps to paint them as the villains by showing them abusing peaceful protesters because a lot of white people especially don't get it yet. But they're going to pull the trigger eventually.

The reason for all those moralistic lefty "purity tests" was that each and every concession made to these people gets them closer to their goal.

When you conceded that cops needed to be heavily armed thugs operating outside of the law for the sake of fighting mostly nonexistent "crime," you were agreeing to let those cops shoot you in the face whenever they want.
Maybe you didn't realize that at the time because you thought the violence would always be directed at Those People.
But that's what you signed up for.

@gwynnion I am constantly wondering how much of this is up to the pacifying effect of phones.
It seems, a bunch of people seem to think, collectively, that creating and viewing content is effective against anonymous violent people getting paid to be anonymous and violent.
