@keepandroidopen This sounds tethered to internet, contradicting their Nov 2025 blog promise "ultimately, it puts the choice in their [users] hands." In some areas, esp during or after wars, internet is not avail. Tethered =/= open. I really hope I'm wrong.

@keepandroidopen we need a real open alternative for mobile devices, like a single linux phone but that is really working ad can be purchable for a reasonable price.

Moreover we should push the European Union to don't leave the power on the corporations but putting solid rules about ownership: Google can do whatever they want to their OS, but I should be able to change the shipped OS and use "safe" apps that now runs only on Play Protect, like banking.
