To me it makes a ton of sense to do due diligence.

@MikeDunnAuthor I am hoping enough teams pull out that games involving banned teams end up being hosted in canada/Mexico or anywhere else. And I saw this for the players who deserve an opportunity to play. Depriving them of this offen once in a lifetime opportunity to play in a world cut is terrible. Even Hittler allowed blacks to compete in the Berlin olympics.

It that were the main reason, they would be banning Brazilians, British, Germans, Argentinians, Spaniards, Italians...
They ban them because they can.
And people will watch it as if the FIFA were the international peaceful organization they always say they are and the US were not a racist hellhole.

Cancelling the games over the visa denials would be a huge global rebuke to Trump. So would moving them to Canada or Mexico.
