@jbrownesq is everyone on the stopgenai instance an American with a massively inflated view of their own country's importance?
To paraphrase an American song text - "you're so vain, you probably think every war is about you?"
@s_d_brath its weird to me. This is weird, by now. Maybe you can help me understand a bit, from your outside perspective.
When talking about this latest open US proxy war (again - ITS IN THE US CONGRESSIONAL RECORD), about 50% of the time, the pro US-state person (you) falls back to "americans having in inflated ego".
Is it that you dont understand how the US has built this? I mean there are many stories about it from different media orgs. Pick one? Dont even take my word for it?

@s_d_brath lmao so Im guessing another way of handling this proxy war is to just say "ah HAH! An arrogant, egotistical american who thinks everything is about themselves"
(as if global hegemonic influence, endless war and proxy war, is just about some... some leftists ego??? wtf??)

@jbrownesq Russia wanting Ukraine territory has nothing to do with the US. When they took Crimea nobody in the west gave much of a fuck which emboldened them to go for broke and take the rest. The US has many faults, but they did not start this war, Russia did and Trump and his minions barely gives a shit. If it wasn't for the support of European countries this war would have been over years ago (and no, it isn't a EU proxy war either).

@s_d_brath whaaaat?? No one in the west?? Im in the west... friendo. Im here. The mainstream news LIT UP WITH CONDEMNATION OF RUSSIA's ILLEGAL INVASION AND LAND GRAB of Crimea. Are you living under a rock?
The attacks? Did you see the explosions and attacks against russian infrastructure, pipelines, ethnic people, leading up to 2021? This was what baited the russians into attacking. The US knew russia would attack ukraine over this. For decades!

@s_d_brath the US would have fully invaded and regime-changed its closest neighbors if even 10% of the bullshit happened at their border that happaned at russia's border zones. We all know this.
So when the US political state clutches its pearls and talks about "unprovoked invasions" its just lmao and stupid. There WERE provocations, but the US wants you to think its no big deal/they *deserved* it.
No. The US would invade its neighbor for 1/10th of what happened to russia. END THE WAR NOW!

@jbrownesq let's just agree to disagree.

@s_d_brath no thanks. I dont agree. That isnt how we fight rising global fascism, and that isnt how the subject goes down.
DEATH TO FASCISTS. All of them, of all colors, stripes, and insignia.

Since I'm the owner of StopGenAI.org, I told the reporter to fuck off, liberal.
Ukraine *is* a proxy war, used by the US. "Slava Ukraini" is Nazi.
I got your back, J Brown.
Once again, liberals, worshipping the US military regime, go fuck off.

@kimcrawley For an admin, you’re very rude and unprofessional.
-
@jmaris @notsoloud @kimcrawley which ukrainian press? Show me which one you mean. I would love to discuss it, since I know the MEDIA THERE WAS NATIONALIZED years ago.
Conscription happens when you fight a war you CANT WIN, and you have to FORCE PEOPLE WHO DONT WANT TO FIGHT, TO FIGHT. Did you think... lol you could redefine what conscription means here??
Why did the US (Blinken) say NO to peace talks twice? Zelensky and Putin were going to talk. Why did the US say no?
@jbrownesq
Conscription means you can't win a war? You've got to retract that mate, there are SO many counterexamples. And very obvious ones.I don't mind discussion but it has to have some tether to reality.

@jmaris @kimcrawley@notsoloud @jmaris @kimcrawley yes... lets "tether to reality" is a normal thing to say when we have differing views on conscription, and what it means, when, etc etc. Right. Totally normal.
The war could have ended years ago when they tried to have peace talks, but Blinken said no. The US has been funding, supporting, even *operating* parts of this war since BEFORE it even started, and we can all fucking see that by now. You lose narrative control, sorry! Bet it was expensive lmao

I am saying that countries with conscription have won wars. That's not a viewpoint but a fact. Do you agree?

@jmaris @kimcrawley@notsoloud @jmaris @kimcrawley Im super NOT focused on conscription (it isnt the crux of my point of view), but I see it as a sign of weakness in this case, as Im sure anyone familiar with the subject... could glean from what I was saying.

@jmaris @kimcrawley@notsoloud @jmaris @kimcrawley you know, THIS extremely successful sounding conscription:

@notsoloud @jmaris @kimcrawley you know, THIS extremely successful sounding conscription:
@notsoloud @jmaris @kimcrawley FORCED conscription, friend. They are fucking hunting people down, FLEEING FROM WAR, and forcing them to fight.
THIS IS NOT A NORMAL WAR. This is a fucking unwinnable proxy war orchestrated by the US, now with ridiculous discussion of EU continuing the conflict as the US goes insane and becomes fascist and cant pay its bills. Nonsense reality. And you seem to believe in the nonsense parts of it lmao

Then why talk about conscription in general?I'd love Ukrainian conscription to be better organized and less corrupt. They may get there.
Surveys show quite strong backing to keep fighting among Ukrainians. They can win.

@jmaris @kimcrawley@notsoloud @jmaris @kimcrawley they can win? What a demented thing to say. Russians and Ukrainians should stop fighting... now. Last year. They must sit down at the table ASAP, before more and more die and more "forever war" energy is gained, per the US's long term strategy... there. Numerous governments and intel orgs have, for a long time, discussed outcomes like this, using ukraine, and here we are. Congrats to everyone fucking involved. More dead 3rd parties to help US hegemonic goals.

@jbrownesq
By definition conscription is forced. Like taxes. Do you expect government to be funded by voluntary donations?I'm Danish. Lots of people get called up for basic training here and are "hunted down" if they don't show up. Seems quite natural.
And please enlighten me. How did the US orchestrate Russian tank columns pushing towards Kyiv? How do you force a nuclear power to do that?

@jmaris @kimcrawley@notsoloud @jmaris @kimcrawley wow, honestly I hadnt looked at how bad the conscription problem was....... and now that we have debated this I read more, and... holy shit!!
Its a HUGE problem! People dont want to fight! They are hunting people like animals, beating them, making disabled people fight, etc. This is NOT a sign of a nation - a PEOPLE - that wants to fight a war.. its a STATE with the US backing it that wants the war. END THE WAR!

@jmaris @kimcrawley@notsoloud @jmaris @kimcrawley wtf do you mean? Putin is a warmonger - like the US! He is easily baited into military action as the US knows. YEARS of small attacks against russian infrastructure and ethnic russian people, over a long period, including false flags, etc (bad shit!) until putin decides to invade. Then the US media shouts OHNO UNPROVOKED! HE IS CONQUERING EUROPE!! SCREEEEEECH! HE IS RESTARTING THE USSR! (all literally things said by our media, sounded like SCREECHING to me anyway)

@notsoloud @jmaris @kimcrawley lmaooo LOOK! LOOK AT THIS TRASH
https://www.politico.eu/article/vladimir-putin-fall-russia-empire-ukraine-war-armenia-azerbaijan/
From 2022. People were.... repeating this! Saying we should "nuke russia" or "get ready for nuclear war" and all this insanity, building a total fantasy narrative about "putin restarting the USSR/taking europe", and this is not considered fringe shit by some people! Weve LOST OUR MINDS and its time... to stop this! BEFORE WW3! I doubt anyone really wants this!?!
