Now that #Wordpress has jumped on the #slop train, I will jump off. For more than a decade, I have spent many an hour translating Wordpress to my mother tongue, adding what value I could to the software. As Wordpress now enables and encourages the use of so-called #AI, something that demonstrably ruins the internet, the environment and the groundwater, I will no longer volunteer for them.
I am open to the #fedibrain's suggestions for what to use instead.

@michael_martinez Aaand they have a migration plugin to install directly on your WP site. Now THAT is great.

I wonder if it also would be possible to switch my WP webshop over or if all those functions only work as they are.Lately I've been getting tons of spam comments from there and I detest AI.

I quit Automattic three years or so ago, because they were mandating the bullshit generators internally. The mess has been going on for a long time already. -

@michael_martinez@AasaMariaHedberg @eivind I doubt the spam actually comes from ClassicPress. It may be spoofed. I get a lot of spoofed emails. Hope they're not spamming people.

@eivind Yeah. They're not as successful as I would like but I keep telling people about them. I hope more developers turn to ClassicPress because it's striving to be what WordPress is moving away from.
