@evacide And arguably, the hundreds of thousands of people who defied Orban by showing up to last year’s banned Pride parade helped contribute to this fascist’s defeat.

@evacide I hope the U.S. can celebrate like this sooner than his term ends.

@evacide The best thing about that is they managed to vote him out *despite* a system that is similarly keyed to keep such people in power. The key difference is they actually frigging did it instead of declaring the alternative wasn't good enough so didn't deserve their vote and staying home on election day.

@evacide Agree. But it's also easy to identify the authoritarians early.

@nazokiyoubinbou @evacide Maybe their alternative was offering positive change and not continued murder of children.

We need tens of thousands to march on DC....not Jan 6th style either.

here's an article about authoritarianism and its fear-based nature that may be of interest to the discussion. To prevent it effectively, one has to understand the pressures making it attractive in the first place.

At a certain point though, it requires risking life and liberty at massive scale to tilt back to normal. And the tyrants of the world can easily make that never happen, by manipulating the means of communication and entertainment.

@Mannanan @evacide Just block and report IMO. They're using the exact bad faith BS that came from the bots/right/etc used to convince people to not vote and get us where we are today.
