I don't use LLMs or AI. )@FediTips Yes. Excuse me, sir. I don't know much about correctly setting up Mastodon. I just used the Firefox autofill feature to connect to a server on my new phone. This wasn't my first server. Should I change it back, or can I keep using these settings and this server?

I don't use LLMs or AI. )@FediTips Some posts have a link at the end entitled “Show entire thread”. I’m curious how this is generated. I generally use Mona and there is no option for that in that app (I don’t think). Not totally sure it is useful but just wondered about it.

Do you mean you signed up on another server by accident?
It's up to you whether you use the new server or go back to the old one. You can use both if you want, but most people just use one account.
Do you want help with signing in on the old account?

If you have an example of this it might be easier to see what's going on?
Usually you can see an entire thread by just clicking on a post and it takes you to the thread it comes from, but there isn't usually a message like that at the end.

@FediTips I just tried to send a link to one like I’m talking about. However, when I pasted it into a browser to make sure I got the right link, then the “Show this thread” is not shown. Now I’m suspecting this is something Mona is doing, although I don’t know why. I’ll try to ask them.

If that's the case, it's probably a feature of Mona which is trying to remind people that the post is part of a thread.
On the web version of Mastodon there isn't a message like that, and people sometimes don't notice a post is part of a thread.

I have no idea, sorry! I've never seen that before.
You can edit your display name in your profile to remove that.
