That last one, using an HDR scan of "2001" to reveal some of the VFX, is interesting & nerdy - but why do people think these HDR versions are good?

It looks like absolute hammered shit, blotchy & artificial. Kubrick would fucking hate it.
I think people have been looking at flatscreen TVs for too long. I never got one because of this exact thing; the image is blotchy & artificial & gross - but y'all got used to it & boom: Ugly HDR scans.
