UGH! ACK! PTHPPPPPT!
I've been going crazy trying to figure out why audio clips keep getting truncated when I play them in a web browser. It happens in Waterfox and Firefox, but apparently not in Edge.
I think it's the fact that my audio output device is my HDMI port. When I switch to my Griffin iMic interface and headphones, the problem disappears. This is on Windows 11 24H2, with Intel HD Audio Driver for Display 32.0.101.6129

Hmm. On further investigation, it seem that it's not a driver problem, but something related to how HDMI handles audio. When there's no audio beling delivered, the audio is put into a sleep state, so the next time you go to play a sound, there's a delay as it wakes up.

@gcvsa Seriously, the idea of just-in-time delivery is the bane of so many things in the digital world...
