That's what we were experiencing, here, before this rain came. Up until about 6 or 7 years ago, 30C + weather was unusual for June in Western Oregon. Unfortunately, it is now the norm."How did you pick up the urge to learn Danish?"
Min morfar was Danish and I have a very strong interest in Danish archaeology, history, and folklore. Very little of these areas of interest have books translated into English. -

For me, the grammar is easy enough but being able to guess how to correctly pronounce a written word and correctly pronouncing all those extra vowels sounds it quite a challenge. I'm sticking with it, though. -

Thanks! Between where we live and 30 kilometers east is wildfire alley. I was sure we were set to get a couple of them this summer but this rain system could greatly lessen the chance. -

Yesterday’s heatwave here was broken by massive thunderstorms in many parts of the country. I still hear the occasional, distant thunder and rain has continued on and off during the night so everything looks so fresh and beautiful this morning
