The Fediverse is more open to this. It is (still) a place for people to talk to people, not to algorithms and bots. But we do have our share of trolls and folks that love to be against everything. Ignore them. Block them. Mute them. It's your timeline. It's your decision what you want to see in it

ADDENDUM: The urge to "yes, but" is strong in many of us. We think (I am no exception) we know better. That when we see someone else proposing something we've tried in the past and failed at, the first impulsive reaction is the "It won't work and here's why". It takes humbleness to switch that around to "I tried that once, let me help you to make it work this time." Rinse, repeat. Rinse, repeat. Take your ego out of the equation. Ideas are bigger than people. Trust me on that!

It takes humbleness to switch that around to "I tried that once, let me help you to make it work this time." Rinse, repeat. Rinse, repeat. Take your ego out of the equation. Good, so I don't have to post it. Seems to be quite a German sense of humour...@jwildeboer I also enjoy the cooperative mindset here very much. Some activists with an energy level several orders of magnitude higher than mine have really struggled with the silence that followed after the person was offended outside the Fediverse. But people here tend to turn their backs on fascist networks and to cool down offline. Both may look like ignorance, but those people still are allies of the good.
I made a habit of thanking for posts I read and valued by faving them even if I do not consider sharing. Just so folks know they are being seen and they are not alone. -
