Odense train station has one of the new Danish travel check in/out points*. It's still out of order but looks fine.

Weird thing is that when I move my phone close to it (NFC?) the thing freaks out and the screen starts flickering text.

*as @CiaraNi keeps pointing out: it will still be possible to pay for busses and trains with a physical card (as opposed to the misinformation that DK will fully move to an app).

@Pepijn They're testing check in/out points on the buses here (Aarhus) at the moment. I must wave my phone towards one next time I'm on a bus and see if it starts shrieking. If it has misinformation like that draped on it, giving people the impression that travel will be app-only in the future, I'll start shrieking myself.

@CiaraNi @Pepijn signs on the metro in Copenhagen are also misleading. I'll try to snap a picture of one next time I get the chance.

@fynn1 @Pepijn I will keep an eye out in Århus too. It's depressing to see their deliberately misleading signs.

@CiaraNi @Pepijn here's one from today on the M2 metro line in Copenhagen. They sure make it sound like the app(s) will be the only option.

@fynn1 @Pepijn That is horrendous. Scare tactics and misinformation and disinformation and enshittification all rolled into one sign.
