@brucelawson None, obviously. These are just statues. The emperors are all long dead.
-
@Quoidian
You assume correctly. Only men were allowed to hold political office.
@brucelawson@Infrapink @brucelawson upper right and lower left?

@brucelawson ok
Call me uneducated
But I don't know every emperor shown there
Sorry@augustav I think that's the point of the joke.
-
@augustav @brucelawson Luckily, in this case you only need to know three of them.
@HarrietMonkhouse @brucelawson uff
That's not that hard
Thanks -

Thanks@augustav @brucelawson I had a go; I'm not great on faces but, working on the principle that Vespasian is usually bald and bullet-headed, I identified him as A2.
I had a feeling that weird hair (actually mostly a wreath) was Domitian; I checked, and D1 is definitely him, A4 probably someone else also in a wreath [had a quick look and it's Claudius].
The one I had no idea about was Titus; I can't remember ever seeing his image. But it turns out he looks like his dad, with more hair; he's C3.

@HarrietMonkhouse @brucelawson
Ok
You know your emperors
Whenever my family jokes about me taking about something roman, I tell them about you, recognizing an emperor, because he looks like his father a bit. -

@brucelawson that's awesome. I'm in the US and I mess up the CAPCHA tests all the time. Especially the clicking all the tiles with a part of the bike or stop light in it. By the way, I would totally fail this CAPCHA as well.

@brucelawson I recognize a fair few of these. The busts, not the emperors. I think C3 is called Maximus or something similar? He was declared a traitor by the emperor that followed him and that's why his nose was broken off (off of his busts, I think he was dead by this point).

@brucelawson @patterfloof I once had a captcha ask me to to select all the tractors.
It refused to continue with the tractor selected unless I had also selected a telehandler and a combine harvester.. Don't tell me I haven't selected all the tractors if your system doesn't know what a tractor is!

Uhhm. You know many italian study latin at high school, right?
“Homo sum.” is sufficient.
Look like you used some AI. Surprise. Latin is way too context-lacking for most AIs…
