@peter Not another one. There was that woman the other day who was giving a speech about AI at a graduation, and she was surprised when she got booed from the start.
@HollieK72 @peter
I usually don’t think much of Arizona, but the kids there have it figured out. -
young people fucking hate this shit
@peter
We do now…I can say that I was on board with AI at first, like around GPT 2 and 3. Why, you may ask. Well, it was an interesting proof of concept, never saw it as anything more. And I also wasn’t as educated on AI compared to now.
Then rich douchebags starting shoving it down our throats and trying to earn a profit from it. And I lost all interest in it to the point I’m against it. (There’s also some further context which is too much for a single post imo. What I can say now is that I am, for the most part,
)Thanks for the video and let me say, I am proud of that crowd. And of that rhyme I made just now

@peter Reminded me of this, from 1917! It’s a suffragist banner, but could apply to so many things now.

as i said last week, we need to tell these people what we think of them. we've used our brains to learn things. we are better than them. https://www.endnotes.net/snobmaxxing/#a-time-for-snobs

@peter I'm 56 and hate this shit, too.
@adipoeserPursch
Same. But hey, maybe that's the reason why we're neither $43bn worth, nor in the Epstein files.Oh btw: Did you read that rumor about Schmidt dating the daughter of Markus Söder?

@peter If ever I saw some motherfucker asking to be lynched in public for being stubbornly contrarían to the audience, this one would rank pretty high.

@peter Not to do with AI and sort of adjacent to what you wrote (great article, BTW.) I've told both my sons some version of this. Something to the effect of, they are smart and talented. Don't let anyone convince them they are not. Specifically I've told them not to be snobby but just know, not everyone has the same abilities, intelligence or talents.
-
@peter Also, the unmitigated arrogance and snobbery of an engineer lecturing and insulting Education majors on how he can easily replace all of them with AISlop "agents" for "the price of an internet connection".
Clueless. Arrogant. #Billionaire #EricSchmidt -

@HollieK72 @peter Yes, University of Central Florida

@peter cathedral of knowledge? AI as immigrants? it's hard to know where to start with the tone-deaf nature of this speech.I prolly would have booed as well.

@peter young person here. this is true!

Glad to see youth speaking out--now they need to get politically active

> there's a lot of money in AI, and you're not supposed to be rude to that much moneyCapitalist ethics in a nutshell

@peter sadly, an AI probably would have spelled speech correctly.
